Chapter 10

"Mom!" Cecilia's thoughts lasted less than a second before she heard Sandy's cry and Gladys calling for her. She reached out and caught Gladys as she ran towards her, lifting her head to see Erin colliding with Sandy. Erin had intentionally collided with Sandy. Having just been upset by Cecilia, Sandy's face didn't look good. She was about to erupt, but Erin beat her to it, speaking coldly with a frown, "Can't you watch where you're going? Are you blind?" Erin might have the appearance to intimidate, but as soon as she opened her mouth, all pretense of a refined lady vanished. Cecilia knew instantly that Erin had overheard her conversation with Sandy and had guessed their collision was deliberate. "Shouldn't I be asking you that? And how dare you speak to me like that? Have you even recognized who I am?" Sandy retorted with a dark expression. Erin disdainfully glanced her up and down, saying, "Aren't you just one of Alston's mistresses? What other identity do you have to boast about?"
