Chapter 34: The Mirror's Reflection
Tiago gripped the arms of his leather chair, knuckles turning white as he stared intently at the ornately patterned rug beneath his feet.
"Anthony Russo," he muttered. He replayed the details of Kyle's report in his mind, a frown creasing his forehead with each repetition.
"Natasha... her lover... linked to the kidnapping..."
A scoff escaped his lips. This unexpected development threw a wrench into everything he thought he understood. Up until now, he'd been operating under the assumption there was a single entity orchestrating the chaos that had infiltrated his life.
"Two enemies," he murmured, the realization striking him with a jolt. "Two separate attacks under the guise of one." He slammed his fist down on the armrest. "How the hell am I supposed to fight a two-front war?"
