Chapter Twenty-Nine
Sullen
Sullen felt her nerves moving all over the place. She knew Roan was trying to be strong for her, but she knew he was worried.
Her wolf could feel it. She could feel it.
Calming him down felt like the right thing to do. Though she turned on the TV, he didn’t watch it, he tapped his fingers against his thigh and occasionally walked toward the window to look out.
“Did any of them get a good look at the rogue?” she asked.
“No,” he said. “Just in wolf form, and from a distance. The bastard had the nerve to sneak in here. I can’t believe it.”
Sullen nibbled on her bottom lip and turned to face him in the bed. “Sit down. We’re going to play a game.”
Roan looked over his shoulder at her with a lifted brow. “Seriously, a game, Sullen?”
“Seriously, a game, Roan. Sit down.”
A smile tugged at his mouth. “Now who is the alpha barking orders?”
“Tonight. Right now. I’m the alpha,” she said.
Roan smiled and sat down in front of her. “What game are we playing? I have some ideas
