CHAPTER FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY FIVE – CORPORATE THREATS
Thomas Reeves strode into the office, his expensive suit a stark contrast to the restaurant's casual atmosphere.
"Mr. and Mrs. Cesaro," he said smoothly. "I hope I'm not interrupting."
Jasmine crossed her arms. "What can we do for you, Mr. Reeves?"
Thomas smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. "I'll cut to the chase. I'm here to make you an offer. Sell the Bistro to us, and we'll make sure you're very well compensated."
The room erupted in protests. Marco held up a hand, silencing everyone.
"And if we refuse?" he asked coldly.
Thomas shrugged. "Well, let's just say the restaurant business can be... unpredictable. It would be a shame if anything were to happen to this lovely establishment."
Jasmine stepped forward, her eyes flashing. "Is that a threat, Mr. Reeves?"
"Not at all," Thomas replied. "Just an observation. Think about it. You have my card."
