CHAPTER FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY ONE – THE WEDDING MUST GO ON.
Their moment was interrupted by a knock at the door. Dr. Kovacs entered, smiling when she saw Jasmine awake. "Good to see you up, Mrs. Cesaro. How are you feeling?"
As the doctor checked Jasmine's vitals and changed her bandages, she explained the extent of Jasmine's injuries. "You were lucky. The bullet only grazed you, but you lost a fair amount of blood. With rest and proper care, you should make a full recovery."
"How long do I need to stay here?" Jasmine asked, anxiety creeping into her voice. "Our wedding is in three days."
Dr. Kovacs hesitated, glancing at Marco. "Well, medically speaking, I'd prefer to keep you for at least another day or two for observation."
Marco squeezed Jasmine's hand. "Maybe we should postpone the wedding, give you time to recover properly."
Jasmine shook her head vehemently. "No. No more delays. We're getting married in three days, come hell or high water."
