CHAPTER FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY SEVEN – TENSIONS ON BOTH SIDES
Amidst the growing chaos, Marco's sister Lucia suddenly pointed an accusing finger at Jasmine's brother Marcus. "You!" she shouted. "I bet you're behind all this!"
The room fell silent. Marcus looked bewildered. "What are you talking about?"
Lucia's eyes blazed with anger. "Don't play dumb. I know you've been selling our family secrets to the Moretti clan. That's how they always seem to be one step ahead of us lately."
Marcus stood, his face flushing with indignation. "How dare you accuse me of such a thing! I would never betray my family or the Cesaros."
"Oh really?" Lucia sneered. "Then how do you explain the new shipment routes the Morettis suddenly know about? Routes only our two families were aware of?"
The room erupted into shouting. Accusations flew back and forth, with each side defending their own and casting suspicion on the other.
"Enough!" Don Cesaro's voice thundered above the din. "We are here for Marco and Jasmine, not to air our petty grievances!"
