I texted Kieran the clinic’s address.

The doctor was just finishing applying ointment on my cut lips when he showed up.
The medicine had an oddly meaty flavour and was making me hungry.
‘My job’s done here.’ Conor rose to his feet. ‘I’ve got some business to take care of. Amiyah, call me if you need anything.’

He shrugged and left.
