Maeve’s heart stopped for a second, and she asked nervously, “Is there something else that you need?” She was not confirmed as a permanent employee in the shop yet. Moreover, she needed money to pay for Agatha’s medical expenses and rent. Maeve prayed that her husband would not take advantage of her current predicament and ask her to sleep with him because she was his wife. “Yes.” Matthew said with a drawl, “My family wants to see you. Do you have a day off next Tuesday? If it’s convenient for you, I would like to introduce you to my family.” Maeve heaved a sigh after knowing that he was not asking her to sleep with him. However, her heart leapt into her throat in anxiety when she learned that she was going to see his family. “It’s true that I have a day off next Tuesday. But our marriage is a shotgun marriage without any basis of love. What if there are some changes to our marriage in the future?
