Chapter 32
Travelling amongst Hunters was vastly different to travelling with soldiers. The latter filled the transport with noise and energy, whereas Hunters were peaceful and contained, their movements minimal and precise as they waited for the signal. There was no nervous last-minute checking of weaponry or supplies as Hunters carried none. They would seek what they needed as they went.
Hunters did not wear the black uniform of the soldiers, but rather dull brown that covered hands to fingertips, feet to toes, and hooded over their head and covered their faces. The soles of their shoes were designed not for stomping on enemies, but for stealth, the fabric supple though strong enough to prevent injury to the foot.
The hood contained and muffled breath and noise, and the dull brown fabric was woven of threads that once activated, would shift colour to match the environment around it.
A Hunter was invisible to the eye, silent to the ear, and deadly.
