Chapter 70: Trust

*VICKY* "Who's there?! Come out!" A black fog filled the entire warehouse, making it so that the mortals could barely see their surroundings. The fog I released not only blocked their vision but also muffled their hearing and other senses. I secretly thought that I was putting in a lot of effort to save John. I didn't know how long it would take for me to get back this much blood energy without Leon's help. The people inside the fog were obviously caught off guard by my actions and hurriedly pulled out their guns, shooting into the darkness. With this kind of low-visibility though, it was impossible for them to hit me. The law stipulated that we couldn't kill humans, but it didn't say that we couldn't scare them. I was out and about in the black mist, occasionally flashing my red glowing claws. My amber pupils also looked particularly dazzling in the darkness. From time to time, a scream came from the mist as they injured each other with their panicked shooting.
