CHAPTER 46

[8 months after] Mara's POV I pressed my lips together as I tried standing up from the bed. I'm 8 months and three weeks gone and I felt like a balloon about to take off. I couldn't walk properly anymore,my back aches frequently and I always had to count my steps to wherever I'm going to. I smiled as I touched my protruding stomach,it has gotten so big and hard. I stopped school when my pregnancy clocked three months,it was starting to get obvious and I was certainly not in for the shame. I kept praying everyday not to die before giving birth and it seems my prayers are working,I have just a week left but Doc Mart said it might be farther than that. I don't want it to be farther than nine months…I'm in discomfort already,I didn't know this was how it was gonna be.
