Chapter 30 Grandpa's Concern
Sabrina gave Barry an incredulous look as she voiced her disappointment. How could he have kept such an important secret from her? It not only made her look bad but also left her feeling embarrassed.
Barry, equally frustrated, retorted, "Now you know how upset I feel. Don't worry about the gift; you can buy something tomorrow."
With those words, they both found a way to move past this without making things more awkward. Sabrina graciously accepted the gift from Ada and decided to reciprocate with something of similar value.
"Thank you, Ada," Sabrina said sincerely.
Ada maintained her flawless smile and nodded but didn't say anything further.
Unnoticed by everyone, Ada's gaze occasionally drifted toward Curtis.
Their conversation continued, and the siblings, who hadn't seen each other in nearly a year, had a lot of catching up to do. In contrast, Ada and Curtis quietly observed, not wanting to interrupt their bonding time.
After some time, Curtis abruptly stood up to answer
