I had a dream. In my dream, there were two kids. They could not walk yet. They were crawling around on the floor. The man I loved was sitting on the sofa. We were a happy family of four. “Miss Shaw, wake up…” Somebody was calling me. I slowly opened my eyes and saw the worried face of the doctor. I exhaled harshly and asked immediately, “Where are my kids?” The doctor did not say anything. The nurse by the side comforted me, “You can see them later.” I instantly felt relief and smiled. I could not wait to see them. The doctor patched me up then wheeled me into the advanced hospital room. Elaine rushed over with tears in her eyes. She held my hands. She looked like she was about to burst out crying, I held her hands too and smiled, “Are the kids beautiful?” “They are.
