Chapter Thirty Two- Blurred Reality

The car ride was silent.  An energy buzzed between the two but neither said a word. Mia was too busy with a multitude of thoughts running through her mind. She couldn’t even tell Lorenzo what she was thinking about because she had no idea. They were too fast for her to register in her mind but she couldn’t even stop. It was pointless. Mia needed to drown out her thoughts. She couldn’t even drink now. There was nothing for her to do. No coffee was allowed. She could only drink decaf. The thought made her cringe. She didn’t get a buzz from coffee but she enjoyed the taste of it. At least she could smell the scent of a freshly brewed cup of coffee. That kept her going as weird as it was. The couple soon arrived at the manor. Mia got out quickly and Lorenzo didn’t even bother parking the car. Phoebe and Lucas were standing on the threshold. They must have heard the car come up the driveway. The two stood with grim expressions. No one knew what to expect with Lorenzo.
