Sarah's words were tinged with concern for Anson, yet she kept sneaking glances at Jacob. Sarah's arrival eased Melissa's quandary nonetheless. She patted Sarah's hand and said, "Don't worry, everything's fine. It's so sweet of you to hurry over despite your busy schedule."
