Chapter 415 Not My Place to Care
Blood had painted the stranger's body, their clothes a canvas of rips and tears. How long had they endured this torment? They were sprawled on the earth, still as stone, their features lost to me, their years a mystery. However, even in their weakened state, the outline of their form suggested a man.
I winced, the lashes on my skin burning like ice. It took an eternity to sit up. I am not the type to poke my nose into other people's business. However, the stillness of the figure nearby was unnerving.
