CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIX: MISUNDERSTANDING
Jonathan and Anna sat beside him, the three of them forming a perfect picture of contentment and togetherness. As they sat there, Jonathan slipped his arm around Anna’s shoulders, pulling her close. She leaned into him, resting her head against his shoulder, feeling a sense of peace and belonging.
Later that evening, after returning home and putting Oliver to bed, Jonathan and Anna retreated to the living room. They sat on the couch, the day’s events still fresh in their minds.
“Today was amazing,” Anna said, a smile playing on her lips. “Oliver had such a great time.”
Jonathan nodded, his expression warm. “He did. And so did I. It’s days like these that make me realize how lucky I am to have you both in my life.”
Anna felt a swell of emotion at his words. She turned to face him, her heart full. “I’m lucky too, Jonathan. This feels like home to me.”
