Every time Henry dragged Giselle from the comfort of her bed to whip up soup, she cursed him under her breath, and today was no exception.
The hangover soup she made was straightforward and easy to prepare.
She began by rinsing the rice until the water ran clear, then put it in the rice cooker. Next, she poured a carton of fresh milk into a skillet, stirring continuously to avoid scorching.
Once these were ready, she added chopped pears into the mix.
While Giselle was busy with the soup, Henry stood with his arms crossed, leaning casually against the kitchen doorway, his gaze fixed on her back.
Her slender, graceful figure moved fluidly, and her low ponytail swayed gently across her pale neck with each movement, adding an element of allure to the scene.
Henry hadn't even tasted the soup yet, but he was already immensely satisfied.
It was a blissful scene, resembling that of a normal, affectionate couple—him coming home from socializing, and her preparing him a soothing soup.
