In that fleeting moment, Giselle realized something chilling: to Henry, both she and Chase were merely expendable—no different from ants underfoot.
His cold gaze locked with hers before he scoffed derisively, “And what do you presume to offer in negotiation with me?”
Silence hung heavy as Giselle weighed her next words, ultimately resolving with a daring edge, “I will wear those clothes at the bottom of my wardrobe for you—by choice.”
This remark nearly shattered Henry's composed facade.
His eyes roamed over Giselle, finally pausing on her shimmering red lips.
Narrowing his eyes slightly, a mischievous smile played on his lips, “Really?”
Giselle bit her lower lip, nodding firmly, “Release him, and I will honor my promise.”
Henry’s grip relaxed as he glanced towards Chase, sprawled on the ground, gasping amidst a pool of crimson—a pitiful sight indeed.
With a look of disdain, as if further observation would sully his sight, Henry muttered dismissively, “Scram.”
