Chapter 5
Ryan turned to look at her, asking, "Don't you have anything better to do? Didn't you already have fun testing me last night? What are you trying to do now?"
"Ah? Did you notice it? I thought I hid it well." Nina was a little surprised.
Annoyed, he pointed to a sharp stone in the sand.
"Can you change to a smaller stone when you want to sneak attack? Such a big stone can kill me. Besides, you held on so tight last night, which gave me a headache.
"Although I don't have low self-esteem, I know myself well. When a woman throws herself into me, she probably has ulterior motives."
She came over, put her hand on his shoulder, and said, "Handsome, don't underestimate yourself so much. You're still good.
"Now that you're the only man here. Your life will be wonderful in the future. I don't plan to attack you anymore. Let's go to take a look at your soon-to-be ex-wife."
She stood up, pulled his arms hard to get him up, and walked forward.
Ryan thought their behavior was childish and pointless. In the current situation, it was more important for them to find food and water and build temporary shelters.
He couldn't stand the sea breeze last night. If he slept next to the fire with Nina holding him tightly again, he wouldn't be able to sleep.
But for some reason, when he thought of Yasmine's pain and discomfort, he couldn't help but feel happy.
Perhaps it was his actual nature—he was also a human. She betrayed him, so it was normal for him to feel angry and want to take revenge on her.
After walking for a long time, they finally reached the beach where Yasmine and the other women were.
Before Ryan went over, he saw them lying listlessly on the beach from a distance.
"As I expected, women are women, after all. Even if the sea is in front of them and coconut trees are behind them, they'll still be hungry.
"But it'll be different if they follow you. I ate half a fish and a few conches last night, even drinking coconut water in the morning. So, you may have been ordinary in Cascadia before. But on this island, you'll be popular."
Nina smiled confidently, then reached out and took his arm. As a model, she had a good height. Even though he was 5.8 feet, she was almost as tall as him. Her slender legs were particularly eye-catching.
Nina held Ryan's arm gently, walking over there with great confidence.
Sherry was the first to see them. She stood up, frowned, and asked gloomily, "Nina, why are you with him?"
After hearing her words, the others got up.
Yasmine looked at Nina, who held Ryan's arm with a charming smile. She also became gloomy and angry.
"Why am I with him? Isn't it obvious enough?" Nina rested her head on Ryan's shoulder sweetly.
A young girl looked at her with disdain. "So, you disappeared all night last night just to hang out with this violent man? Did you know we were worried about you and searched for you for a long time? We thought that something happened to you!"
This girl was the one who cried last night and made Ryan speechless. She had introduced herself as Eloise Zimmer, a college student studying vocal music.
"Ryan, do you think I would be jealous? You're mistaken. I've always looked down on you in the past. I still think the same now. Your behavior will only make me think you're childish and useless."
Yasmine looked at Ryan coldly with disdain.
"You guessed it wrong. I'm the one who forced him to come here. You're his soon-to-be ex-wife, right? To be honest, you must be blind to abandon him. He made me so happy last night.
"I've never met such a good man. I should thank you. If it weren't for your heartlessness and betrayal, I wouldn't have had a chance to be with him."
Nina hugged Ryan's waist sweetly.
Yasmine immediately turned cold, looking at Nina. "You're a model, right? I just can't figure it out. He's not handsome, has no money, and is useless.
"What on earth do you like about him? Is it possible that you're just a slut and can't control yourself to sleep with any man?"
Ryan looked at Yasmine, feeling disgusted with her. Marrying her was the most regretful thing he had ever done.
Not only was Nina not angry, but her smile grew. She looked eerie and terrifying, saying to Yasmine, "I can't figure out your thoughts either. Are you all still hopeful and waiting for the rescue team to save us? Just give up. The rescue team won't come. They may not even find this island.
"Because there is a strange magnetic field in this sea area, which can cause radar and mechanical instruments to malfunction. If you doubt my words, you can think carefully about why the ship hit the reefs and sank.
"I heard the conversation between the captain and the chief officer. Before the ship sank, they had already lost hope of living."
As soon as she said that, Yasmine and the other women's expressions changed drastically.
Ryan observed their reactions, then turned to look at Nina, thinking that she was cruel.
She instantly dashed all of their hopes with a heartbreaking fact!
"No, that's impossible! Nina, you're lying to us, right? You must be lying!" Eloise instantly collapsed, shouting to Nina in desperation.
Everyone else also showed expressions of fear, worry, and nervousness.
"It doesn't matter whether you believe it. Do you know why I went to Ryan and stayed with him? He's the only man on this island. I can only survive by following him. You all have been hungry, right?
"I ate roasted fish and conches and drank coconut water with Ryan last night. Yes, I meant the coconuts that grow on the top of 30-foot coconut trees behind you.
"My man climbed up and picked them off. Only by following him can we survive on this desert island well."
After Nina finished speaking, she took Ryan's arm and prepared to leave proudly.
Yasmine immediately became anxious, shouting quickly, "Ryan, we have not divorced yet! Legally speaking, you're still my husband! I also want to eat roasted fish."
