"We'll camp here. The boulder can shield us from the wind at night. Even if it rains, the rainwater won't splash at us directly," Ryan said with a nod after scanning the area.
He then went to gather more palm leaves from the forest and surrounded the boulder with them.
That would shield them from both wind and any small animals.
Ryan then got to work on making dinner. He used a sharp rock and slit the birds' necks.
When blood began flowing out, he called Sherry over. He then had Sherry use leftover coconut shells to collect the birds' blood.
"Didn't we catch food already? Are we eating blood, too? That's disgusting," Sherry said as she collected the birds' blood.
"We're not eating the blood. We're drinking it raw," Ryan said calmly.
Now that they were stranded on an island, there was one thing they needed the most besides fresh water and food–salt.
A person could get dehydrated and weak very quickly without salt. Worse, the lack of salt could even threaten one's life.
