Chapter 80 – Stubborn Reasons

Natalie stared at her phone as the picture she attached to Gavin’s phone number flashed across the screen. DO NOT ANSWER! She was angry and upset with how Jacob had decided to leave without explaining to Cassidy his reasons. Natalie knew for damn sure Jacob didn’t leave because he didn’t have feelings for Cassidy. After all, she could see the connection and fire that burned between them. He could have been brave enough to tell her the real reason, but he wasn’t. Jacob took the coward way out and ran away with his tail between his legs. Gavin was taking the side of his best friend, and as much as she was doing the same, she respected his loyalty to his friend. But how Jacob handled this was all wrong. She didn’t want to have this conflict with Gavin and be separated from him. But she had a duty to her friend and needed to show moral support as Cassidy grieved through her broken heart. Natalie continued to stare at her phone when she heard a knock on the door and didn’t bother to loo
