Chapter 62 – Just A Kiss

Cassidy woke up the following day still flustered from the previous night's little taunt by Jacob. She gently pressed her fingers against her lips as she relived last night's kiss with Jacob repeatedly in her head. As much as she enjoyed having the opportunity of learning what it would be like to kiss Jacob. She was irritated with the fact that it was short-lived. Would he try to kiss her again? Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a knock on the door. She pulled herself up in the bed and looked at her left shoulder when she realized there was no pain or stiffness as she used it. She rotated the shoulder back and forth but felt nothing. She situated herself before narrowing her eyes and crossing her arms over her chest as she waited for Jacob to come in. He opened the door wide to allow room for him and the breakfast tray he was carrying through the door.
