Cassidy bit down on her lower lip as her eyes skimmed over the words in the book. She remembered her Pop Pop offering this book to her when she went on a fishing trip with him to keep her occupied. Back then, she was fascinated and caught up in all the drama that the story had to offer. She giggled as she read through the steamy and intimate moments between the female character and her supposed mate, who just so happened to be her enemy when they were younger. As she got further invested in the story, a part of her started to wish that the story could be real.
