Chapter 26 – Stay With Me

Cassidy kept coming in and out of consciousness as she tried to remember what had happened. Her body was feeling numb, and she didn't know if she could move. She tried to keep her eyes open as she looked around to get a sense of where she was, but all she could see was darkness around her and some tree limbs. Cassidy leaned her head back on the headrest of her seat. She looked down to the passenger floor to see if she could see her phone at all. But it was too dark for her to see anything. Her eyes started to get heavy as she slowly closed them to gather her strength. "Cassiebee, wake up, Cassiebee," she heard a familiar voice tell her. She slowly opened her eyes and whispered, "Pop Pop?" But when she opened her eyes, there was no one there. She tried to keep her eyes open, but her head was hurting, as was the rest of her body.
