Charlene yawned and bumped straight into Jennifer. "Ouch, Jennifer, what's wrong?" Jennifer didn't respond as she went upstairs, slamming the door shut. It was obvious she had argued with Daniel again. As Charlene walked downstairs, she felt guilty and dared not meet Daniel's eyes. Daniel smiled and handed her breakfast. "Jennifer is already miserable enough, Daniel. If there's anything you can do, just help her," Charlene said sympathetically. She said it out of guilt as well.
