My phone suddenly rang. When I saw that it was Evan on the phone, I immediately picked it up. I squelched my throat and said, “Hello!” “Hello, Tina!” “Yes, Evan!” Evan paused for a moment and asked in a deep voice, “Are you free tonight?” Hearing that, my heart raced with delight. Evan hadn’t asked me out for a long time. “Yes, I am free!” “Let’s have a dinner tonight!” “Great! About what time?” “I will pick you up at eight o’clock! We are going to The Tables Delights. Remember to dress up.” “Sure. I will see you tonight!” “See you tonight!” After hanging up the phone, I jumped in joy. At that moment, my mother happened to come back. Seeing me jumping like this, she sneered and asked, “Why are you so happy?” “Mom, Evan just called me and asked me to dinner at ‘The Table Delights’ tonight! Mom, come and help me pick up the right dress!” “Well, it’s all thanks to me! I can only help you so far. The rest is up to you,” she hummed. I was a little shocked. “Mom, did you visit Evan?” “So wha
