Besides—" "This is too much!" Heidi snapped coldly. Monica paused. She could barely hide the smug satisfaction gleaming in her eyes. Heidi roared, "How can these unethical media outlets make such ridiculous claims? They'll do anything for attention!" Monica's mind briefly spun upon hearing this. She almost didn't register what she'd just heard. Heidi was angry with the media, not Nicole. "Mom, they probably published the news because they found evidence. They just want to get justice for Dad," Monica tried to reason, forcing an awkward grin. Meanwhile, Nicole saw through Monica's intentions. Her gaze was calm and clear, unaffected by any emotions. She'd known from the start that Monica disliked her. She felt it the first night at the banquet. Anyone treated like a princess for that long would find it dif
