CHAPTER 5: The Second Encounter With Him
Lost in thought, Linda's stepmother, Natasha, approached her to discuss her engagement.
"Linda, your engagement is fast approaching. Are you prepared?" Natasha inquired.
Looking up to see her stepmother, Linda sneered and replied, "It's none of your business."
Emily descended the stairs and greeted her mother, "good even mom"
Seeing her daughter she replied, "Oh, my dear Emily. I was just discussing the engagement with her.’’ ‘’Isn't she going to make a good wife for the Wilson?" she asked.
With anger, Emily glared and hissed, "I doubt she's going to make a great wife for the Wilson. The Wilson’s aren't ones to be tampered with."
Ignoring their conversation, Linda stood up to leave but was stopped by Emily.
Emily moved closer and whispered, "I wonder how the Wilson family would feel once they see you as a disgrace to their reputation." With that, she injected Linda with a needle containing a substance that would intoxicate her, inducing a desire to seek out a man.
Linda screamed out in pain and immediately slapped her.
"What the hell!" she screamed. "What have you done to me, you monster?"
Natasha, witnessing the scene, approached angrily. "Who gave you the right to slap my daughter?" she demanded, then slapped Linda in retaliation.
"Your useless daughter?" Linda retorted as she slapped her back. "Go to hell, you fools."
Natasha, shocked by Linda's behavior, held her face in astonishment.
Brandy, hearing the commotion, hurried downstairs to see what was happening. Emily, upon seeing him, burst into tears.
"What's wrong, Emily?" he demanded.
Natasha interjected, "You won't believe what Linda just did! She slapped Emily just because she was asked about her preparations for the engagement."
"What?" he shouted. Enraged, he turned to Linda. "How dare you?" With that, he slapped her.
"You worthless child! How dare you! Not only are you dumb, but your stupidity is out of this world! You've grown wings! You're blinded by your foolishness to see that Emily and her mother meant nothing but love towards you!"
Observing Natasha and Emily's pretense, she smirked.
With tears streaming down her face, Linda glared at her father. "I hate you! Go to hell!" she cried before storming out, sobbing uncontrollably.
After Linda left, Emily and Natasha exchanged knowing glances. Emily, still feigning distress, sniffed and said, "Dad, please let her be. She's just not in a good mood."
Brandy looked at Emily with concern and said, "Oh, dear Emily, look at what that wretched child did to your beautiful face. I'll teach her a lesson once she's back!" he snapped in anger.
"No, Dad, please, for my sake, just let her be," Emily pleaded.
"Hmm," he sighed and motioned to a maid nearby to assist Emily with first aid. With that, he excused himself after receiving a phone call.
After ensuring her father had already departed and instructing her mother to assist her with water, she picked up her phone and said,
"Job done. She'll soon be out. Make sure you let me know once the job has been done." With that, she hung up.
Consumed by hatred for her father and his so-called family, she clenched her fists through gritted teeth.
Struggling to compose herself, she noticed a group of guys following her. Fearing for her safety, she quickened her pace. She realized they mirrored her movements – stopping when she stopped and accelerating when she did.
Desperate to escape, she entered a nearby house. As she tried to suppress her emotions, she heard footsteps approaching. Using one hand to silence herself, she overheard one of the men saying,
"Where the hell is she? Emily can't know we haven't found her.’’
Suddenly, a phone rang among the men. Seeing the caller ID, one of them called the others' attention.
"Shit! Speaking of the devil," he muttered.
Clearing his throat, he answered the call and demanded, "Where's the girl you want us to destroy? We haven't seen anyone! Are you playing tricks on us? You have to pay me my damn money!"
She heard Emily's voice coming through the phone, berating the men.
"You bloody old fools! Just one job, and you all failed to do it!! After paying that huge amount and offering my body as payment!? You're not getting a dime if your job isn't done!" With that, she hung up.
Realization dawned on her that she had been drugged by Emily. Desperate to escape, she hurried into a bustling club.
Struggling with her blurry vision, she stumbled into an unknown place. Suddenly, a hand grabbed hold of her.
Without waiting for her consent, the person began kissing her roughly. Despite her attempts to resist, the effects of the drug overwhelmed her, and she found herself giving in, craving more. Her hands moved to the unknown figure's belt, and she unbuckled it. He unhooked her bra, taking one of her breasts into his mouth. His warmth sent shivers down her spine, and her moans filled the air.
She reached for Vincent, holding and caressing his head, igniting his passion even further.
Both lost in the moment, they were consumed by their intense romance, unaware of each other's identity. Although her scent seemed familiar to Vincent, he was too engrossed to think about anything else.
Her moans were like music to his ears as he thrust in and out of her. "Oh, fuck!" she moaned.
Soon after, they drifted off to sleep, wrapped in each other's embrace.
The next morning, she woke up feeling sore and with a pounding headache. "Fuck," she muttered to herself, wondering what had happened to her.
As she saw her naked body and the figure beside her, memories of the previous night flooded back. She felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her and decided to leave silently without waking the person beside her.
Quietly, she packed her clothes, disguised herself, and left the room.
After she left, Alex entered abruptly. "Boss," he said.
Waking up from sleep, he adjusted himself on the bed, his voice cold and icy as he asked, "What?"
Alex gulped nervously and replied, "The information you asked for is here."
Suddenly realizing his surroundings, memories flooded back. "Shit," he muttered. "She left again..."
He instructed, "Go after the lady who left not long ago."
Alex bowed and exited the room, searching for the woman who had left his boss's room.
Upon spotting Alex, Linda quickened her pace and tried to act as if nothing had happened. However, soon two guards approached and dragged her away.
Confused, she demanded, "What's going on?
Where are you taking me to?" She struggled to break free, but the firm grip of the guards suppressed her efforts.
As soon as Linda saw Vincent, she touched her face instinctively. She looked like a ghost now, so he probably wouldn't recognize her.
Then, Vincent's cold voice filled the room, sending fear to everyone present.
"What is happening?" he demanded, looking down at the phone beside him.
Thinking so, Linda walked up and pointed to the phone being crushed under the gentleman's real leather shoe. "Sir... my phone..."
Locking eyes with Lind, who was struggling with his secretary, he stepped on the phone and broke it.
"What the heck!" Linda cursed out loud.
"You've broken my phone!" Annoyed, she hissed.
Mockingly, Vincent replied, "Your phone? Are you sure it's your phone and not a stolen one?"
"What do you mean, stolen phone?" Linda asked, her voice dripping with anger.
"Your so-called guards held me so tight and you expect me not to react?
Who does that? Tell me!"
Vincent smirked. "You look suspicious"
Linda picked up the phone, on the ground. Seeing her reaction, Vincent asked with a hint of amusement, "Your phone, you say?"
Stammering, Linda replied, "Well... I... I found the phone... It's for someone from the next room, I guess, and I was just about to report it to the receptionist."
