The sound of a car engine dragged Colleen from reminiscing about the event that had happened before when she was still studying. "I guess they are here," Colleen's father mumbled, making all of them look at the front door to see who was the expected visitor. "Who are they?" Colleen asked her father after she looked at her mother in curiosity. "It's your father's business partners." Her mother replied. "You can join us too. So you will learn and know about our business that we collaborated with Mr. and Mrs. Andrada." Alpha Daniel suggested. Colleen slightly nodded her head as she thought that it might be a good idea. Since she would be an Alpha of their pack someday, knowing how everything works today would make it easier for her once she takes over. Tilting her head slightly, she looked at her mother to ask for a silent permission. Her mother smiled and nodded at her in response. Not a minute later, the doorbell rang as an indication that their visitor had indeed arrived already. Her father looked at their servant and almost instantly they opened the door. On the other hand, Colleen stood up beside her father as they waited to welcome them. Upon opening the door, it revealed a man and a woman who are both in their forties. The genuine smile plastered on their faces gave off the feeling that they are both nice people as Colleen sees them. "Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Andrada, this is my daughter Colleen." Her father proudly introduced her to the couple. When she heard Andrada, she felt her heart skip a beat. She can't help but remember Patrick Andrada, her human mate. "Hi Colleen." The couple greeted her in unison. "Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Andrada," she replied after she shook their hands and gave them a warm smile. "You're almost the same age as our son." Mrs. Andrada mumbled as she smiled and looked at Colleen. It would seem that Mrs. Andrada quite liked her. "Yes, you told me about your son. How is he?" Her mother uttered it. "He's doing well. He's the one who's managing the business so far." Mrs. Andrada replied. They all discuss business. It's all about the fruits and vegetables that are delivered to the supermarket owned by Mr. and Mrs. Andrada. Their son was working in their office, while this couple was looking for a supplier. According to her parents, they met Mr. and Mrs. Andrada in the supermarket when they were buying something they needed for the house's supplies. The supermarket had just been released and they were looking for a supplier of goods. Alpha Daniel talked to the manager and that time Mr. Andrada, was there. So the collaboration started that day. Now they are here to sign-up for the agreement that needed to be discussed. Unless and until both parties agree to agree, The couple left after a harmonious lunch with them. Colleen went inside of her bedroom to take a rest, all her things were already inside of her bedroom. Since her grandparents died, servants have come to assist her mother with household chores. She's lying on her bed, staring at the ceiling of her bedroom as her thoughts go into oblivion. Thinking of all the things that happened to her in the past and sorting her mind. ******* After that, she found out that it was Patrick Andrada, her mate. She never returned to her classroom nor to the school after that day. It was the night when she learned that her grandparents died. She found her mate and so it was the time for them to leave and take a rest from earth. She was deep asleep when she heard howling from her pack that made her stand up from bed. Despite being inside of the house, the noise their cries omit was able to reach her ears and woke her up. SStepping out of her bedroom, she walked to see what was happening when someone suddenly grabbed her wrist to stop her. "What are you doing?" She yelled at Brandon. "Colleen, you need to come with me." Brandon said, dragging her out of their house. "I need to help my family, my Mom, and Dad. My grandparents." She claimed to have only heard growling from her parents and grandparents. As they retaliate against the rogues. "Alpha Daniel and Luna Selena instructed me to bring you with me." Brandon explained while he was pulling her out. They were both running in the middle of the forest. Until they reach the middle part of the forest and they both stop. Brandon squats and he pulls open a square door. It's a hole, a passage going to the end of the forest. There's a small garden planted with different varieties of fruits and vegetables. She looked around and saw her entire pack, the majority of whom were children.Puppies of the same age are the most common. Melissa is there, sitting in the corner, carrying a baby pup that seems like a newborn. She went for a walk with her best friend. "Whose kid is that?"She asked. "It's the son of our omega." Melissa replied. Colleen was looking at the crying puppies, and she could see the fear on their faces.That enraged her to the core of her being.She imagined what would happen if this puppy's parents died. By nature, if your mate dies, the majority of the events that occur will also kill you. A mate was the destined partner that completed a wolf s being, thus if their mate died the other one would feel dead as well and would likely to literally die right after. And living on this earth seems so difficult without your mate. As a result, the majority of them beg the moon goddess to take their own lives, as there appears to be no more happiness and they are forced to live alone.She took a deep breath. And on that day, she promised herself and her pack that she would be an excellent Alpha. ****** A loud knock on the door restored her sense of self-awareness.
