While the negotiations and conversations were far more complex than the usual lighthearted affairs Evelyn was used to, her charm did not fail her. In turn, she earned the respect of Jasper's business associates. All in all, she was a good fit for the role of secretary and dinner companion, save for special occasions like the one tonight.
