Standing beside Shirley, Janine dug at her ear and teased, "Your voice's too soft, I didn't catch that."
Elizabeth clenched her fists tightly and bit out, "All hail Your Majesty."
The crowd finally seemed satisfied. Shirley was calm and unbothered. She raised an eyebrow and replied casually, "Good girl."
Elizabeth froze.
The crowd gaped, then exclaimed, "Shirley is so cool!"
Elizabeth's face darkened as if she'd been slapped. Her expression was utterly miserable.
Janine smirked. "Elizabeth, from now on, remember to say 'All hail Your Majesty' every time you see Shirley. And don't forget to steer clear by at least a kilometer. Those were your words, and everyone here can be our witness."
Janine threw Elizabeth's own words right back at her, word for word.
The crowd nodded in unison, backing her up.
Janine wasn't done. She added, "Oh, and just so you know, it's every single time. We'll be watching you. So, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away."
