Chapter 37

Sebastian looked up, and he could see the anticipation in Angelina's eyes. Roxanne had once looked at him with the same gaze. But at some point, she had stopped looking at him that way. He said, "Thanks for your hard work." Angelina shook her head vigorously and replied, "It wasn't that difficult. I'm willing to do anything for you." Sebastian suddenly felt that he missed the taste of pierogi, so he picked one up and bit into it. The pierogi he ate was very different from what he was used to. When he bit into it, it wasn't soft and pillowy. The dough had been cooked for too long and was chewy, almost as though he was eating cardboard. He frowned. He remembered that this wasn't what pierogi were supposed to taste like at all. The difference was too jarring. "Is it delicious?" Angelina asked with anticipation. Sebastian simply replied, "I'm not that hungry." Angelina was instantly disappointed after seeing his reaction. "Is it not good?" "I'm just not hungry," Sebastian insiste
