The Heart Left Behind

On my fifth wedding anniversary, I prepare a candlelight dinner and wait for my wife the whole night. Yet she and our twin sons accompany her first love on a stroll through a shopping mall. The paparazzi catch them, and they make the trending topics. My wife, who's always been against being intimate with me, allows her first love to wrap his arm around her waist. My younger son, who's always been a germaphobe, kisses the man on his cheek and laughs happily. I call them to ask what's going on, but my wife tells me not to be petty. "Jared and I have been reunited after five years apart—what's so bad about me introducing our sons to him?" Before I can say anything, my younger son starts fussing. "You're such a buzzkill, Dad.
