Chapter 11 He Sets The Rules
“Let me think about it more.”
In the end, Sophia brought Claire back to the Yeich family.
“Three days is not long, Clairy. Make your plans early, and call me when you’ve reached a decision.”
The words that Sophia had said to her before she left rang in her ears. Claire did not know what to feel.
“If you want to continue staying with the Yeich family, you’ll have to abort the child.”
“Clairy, the Schmidt family can’t have both families ruined!”
Claire looked at herself in the mirror.
What should she do? Did she have to abort the baby?
As she was deep in thought, the sound of footsteps from the outside made Claire’s nerves tightened. Pulling open the door of the bathroom, she was greeted with the sight of Simon pushing Mason into the room.
Their gaze met midair. Not even a second later, Claire withdrew her gaze and started walking away nervously.
“Stop.” A cold voice rang out.
Claire’s footsteps halted. She stood as if she were rooted to the floor, unable to move.
“Have you thought it through?” Mason’s lips were laced with a mocking smile, his gaze as dangerous as a bloodthirsty leopard’s.
Claire intertwined her two index fingers as she bit on her lower lip. “I thought you said I had three days?”
“You dare to waste three days?”
Mason’s voice rose slightly, his gaze growing even colder.
Claire’s eyes grew wide. “You aren’t keeping your promise?”
The pair of beautiful eyes grew wide, shock and dismay pooling over them like a free-flowing spring. Mason narrowed his eyes and laughed coldly. “You want to play? Alright. I’ll set the rules.”
“Play? Claire’s red lips quivered. This was a life they were talking about, and he was treating it as a game?
“If you feel resentful and angry, very well, get your stuff, and get the f*ck out of the Yeich family.”
Claire’s hands curled into fists when she heard that.
He was provoking her into leaving. He simply did not want her to stay with the Yeich family.
Since there was still time, Claire was too lazy to argue with him. Fists clenching and unclenching, she turned and walked away, quietly taking out her bedding and making her bed in a corner.
Mason had thought that she would argue with him. Who would have thought that just one second ago, her eyes were huge and filled with grievances, but the next second, all her grievances had vanished into thin air. Then, she turned around and ignored him.
She ignored him to the fullest.
This feeling was not pleasant to Mason!
“Simon, get out.”
Simon startled at his words. “Young Master Yeich, I haven’t helped you…”
“Doesn’t she want to be the Young Madam? She’ll have to do these in the future.”
Claire, who had been making her bed, heard him. She paused in her actions and stood up.
“What do you need me to do?”
“Tell her, what does Madam Yeich need to do.”
Simon looked at Mason, but could not understand what was going on through his mind. However, he still spoke to Claire as instructed.
“Young Master Yeich has a troubled leg. You’ll have to remain by his side, preferably available at his every call and beckon when he’s taking a bath. Whatever Young Master Yeich asks you to do, you do it.” After he finished speaking, Simon was still worried, so he gave up and spoke quietly to Claire.
At first, Claire listened carefully and took notes. When they reached the end of the list, her fair face turned a gentle shade of scarlet as she bit on her lower lip. “Must it be done like this?”
Simon was a thick-headed person. He pursed his thin lips together as he said, “Of course. Do it properly, and be careful that Young Master Yeich doesn’t lose his temper and throw you out of the Yeich family.”
Claire was so scared by him that she shrunk into her neck. Nodding, she said, “I understand.”
After he finished giving instructions, Simon went back to report to Mason. “Young Master Yeich, I’ll be leaving first.”
“Alright.”
Simon was still not quite at ease after he left the room, so he stood at the door with his ear to the wall to listen to what was happening inside.
There was only Mason with her in the room.
Thinking of what Simon had said to her, Claire’s face grew even redder.
“What are you doing standing there? Come here!” Mason ordered in a cold voice.
Claire got startled by him, and her petite figure trembled as she walked towards him.
“What are you trembling for?” Mason felt angry seeing how terrified she was and reprimanded her. “Push me into the bathroom.”
Claire could only follow his orders and push him into the bathroom.
The bathrooms in the Yeich house were huge. They must have been built with Mason in mind to accommodate his wheelchair. However, after she pushed him in, the cold aura on Mason’s body enveloped the bathroom.
In an instant, the bathroom seemed to have shrunk.
Following what Simon had said, Claire asked timidly, “Where are your clothes? Shall I get you your clothes?”
“My pajamas are in the first cabinet. Get me the blue pair.”
“Alright.” Claire turned around to get the blue pajamas, and when she returned, realized that Mason had already taken off his shirt. His topless appearance startled Claire, and she yelped as she turned around to cover her eyes.
“What are you screaming for?” Mason wrinkled his eyebrows.
“Why are you taking off your clothes?”
When he heard that, displeasure flashed through Mason’s eyes. Turning his head, he realizes that that woman was standing at the door with her back to him, not daring to come in. He lowered his head to look at himself, a mocking smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
“Why, are you pretending to be pure with me?”
Claire wanted him to put his shirt back on, but she swallowed her own words back down as they reached her lips. He was right, how could he take a bath if he did not take off his clothes?
As she thought of that, Claire closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
Brace yourself, you’re already husband and wife! She had already prepared herself mentally before getting married, she should not be getting stage fright now.
As she thought of that, Claire turned around. Her tiny face had already regained its calm composure.
“I’ve helped you get your clothes, is there anything else you need?”
“Take off my clothes.”
Claire swallowed before she walked forward.
“First help me unbuckle my belt.”
Unbuckling belts?
Claire directed her gaze towards Mason. He had a troubled leg, so he usually would not stand up and work out. Claire had thought that there would be a lot of flab on his belly, but she was greeted with the sight of a broad chest and a flat stomach.
“Are you stupid? I asked you to unbuckle my belt, didn’t you hear me?” Mason’s voice rang out all of a sudden.
Claire raised her head and made eye contact with his sharp eyes. She hurriedly nodded as she began unbuckling his belt with trembling hands.
However, she had never touched one of these things in her life, and could not unbuckle it…
Mason furrowed his brow.
Looking at how the half-bent woman in front of him had cold sweat covered all over her forehead, it seemed that she was genuinely anxious and nervous.
“Woman, you’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you?”
“Huh?” The more nervous Claire got, the more she could not unbuckle it. She was so nervous, her voice was laced with hints that she was about to cry as she said to Mason, “I… I don’t know…”
The woman’s hand was so soft and warm it seemed that there were no bones in it. The color of Mason’s eyes gradually deepened, a storm brewing at the bottom of his ink-colored eyes.
“You… you do it yourself, alright? Ah!”
Claire did not have time to get all the words out of her mouth before Mason gripped her wrist and pulled her into his arms.
