“He said… well, he mentioned what happened.”
“What happened?” Talia probed.
Amalia had no choice but to recount everything that had happened at the water’s edge, down to the last detail, even if she had already told it before.
“Ah, yes. So, he mentioned it, right?” Talia said, leaning back in her bed.
“Unfortunately… and fortunately,” Amalia mumbled. “He said… well, he called me perfect and… something else.” She suddenly blushed, feeling a flood of warmth spread through her.
“Oh, well,” Talia chuckled, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “There’s nothing I’m going to do with that.”
“Talia!” Amalia’s eyes widened in embarrassment.
“You should perhaps keep that for him,” Talia teased.
“But what am I supposed to make of this?” Amalia asked, suddenly feeling terribly shy. “What if he was just joking with me, playing me like the child I am?”
