Chapter 20

It was already ten pm after the opera. Patting her stomach, Tiffany decided to eat supper at a restaurant. The restaurant was a bit far, and the hotel had a huge compound surrounded by a few acres of stone gardens and woodland. There were also different paths that divided the compound into many smaller sections. Coupled with her poor sense of direction, Tiffany soon got lost on her way. There were not many people at this hour. After walking aimlessly for a while, Tiffany realized that she was somewhere near the hotel entrance. Walking toward the entrance, Tiffany suddenly heard a noise in a nearby alley. She glanced in that direction and saw a few drunkards bullying a woman while talking dirty. One could easily imagine what would happen to this woman if nobody reached out to help her. One of the drunkards spotted Tiffany, and his eyes lit up with mischief. He walked toward her and said, "Hey, beautiful. Where are you going at this hour? Come over here and let me treat you well."
