Davis stared at her like she had lost her mind. “I'll let you go because you were really hungry. That's the only reason why you'd think such a disaster was delicious—”

She rolled her eyes. “Oh, great chef! I’m sorry the food didn't meet your taste. Geez! You're so proud,” she stated.
“Whatever. Let's leave before the car arrives,” he told her.
“Why? Where are we going to stay?” She asked as she picked up the glass of water.
“It's been forty minutes since I made the call. They should be arriving anytime soon,” he told her as he stood up. “Plus, I don't want to stay here any longer. It stinks horribly and, oddly, you haven't mentioned it once.”
