CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN – FIRST DAY WAS THE WORST DAY
Scarlett gripped her coffee mug, the warmth a welcome contrast to the nervous butterflies fluttering in her stomach. It was her first day at Sterling Cooper Advertising, and despite weeks of preparation and rehearsals with Peggy Olson in the mirror at the apartment, a wave of anxiety washed over her.
Taking a deep breath, she straightened her new skirt suit and knocked on Peggy's office door. A curt "Come in" greeted her.
"Good morning, Ms. Olson," Scarlett said with a smile. "Ready for a productive day?"
Peggy, perched behind a mountain of paperwork, looked up with a tired sigh. "Good morning, Scarlett. Let's hope so. The Reynolds Tobacco account deadline is looming, and Don Draper is on a bender again."
