Chapter Thirty-Five - Willow
They drove away and my wolf mourned.
I backtracked toward the pack house, feeling my wolf grow sadder by the second. She hated being away from Chase, and apparently, so did I. They were going to bury him for allowing me to fight. All because I went against what he asked of me. Frustration filled my stomach as I climbed the stairs to the pack house.
I stalked down the hallway and toward the dining hall. There was a buzz of whispers in the air from the pack members. Most of them were talking about Chase being escorted out, but some of the she-wolves gawked at me from a distance.
I slid into line, feeling the heat of their stares and words against my back.
Even the wolves serving the food avoided eye contact. I took my omelet, and against my better judgment, sat down right in the middle of the dining hall.
These wolves weren’t going to scare me away.
