Uncle sneered, "Get out of my way! What, have you been sleeping with this wretched fox too? Is that why you're siding with her?" His words turned the doctor's face pale with anger, and Amia's grandmother was so furious that she spat out blood on the spot.
Seeing her grandmother in such a state, Amia could no longer hold back. She stepped forward and kicked her uncle hard in the backside.
"Don't blame me for not recognizing you as family anymore. If you keep talking like that, we'll throw you out today," Amia raged, her sudden outburst leaving her uncle and his cronies dumbfounded. They hadn't expected such fierceness from her.
Amia glared coldly at them, "Let me make this clear: we're in California, not somewhere you can do as you please. If you try anything, I'll call the police. Let's see how many years you'll spend in jail. Go ahead, test me if you're not afraid of prison. But I doubt your family and kids aren't afraid of it either!"
Her words were enough to intimidate the thugs
