Earlier that day, Rhaziel had hastened to the chamber where Nikolai lay in a deep unconscious state. With the awakening of Ophelia, Rhaziel was certain that Nikolai's turn would come soon. As he approached the room, he was met with a guttural growl from Pain, who guarded Nikolai’s bedside with a fierce, protective stance. Rhaziel hesitated momentarily, assessing the situation before making his move.
"Stay away. For now, at least," Rhaziel overheard Nikolai mutter angrily, his voice laced with frustration. Relieved yet discontented, Rhaziel kicked open the door and let his eyes morph into their dark, intimidating demon form.
