Shirley's mind reeled as she gazed out at the sea of wolves. Drakon's eyes were fastened on them, and she could tell he was trying not to shift. But Shirley's mind was consumed with questions as before they arrived here, Drakon had told her that no one else knew this clearing existed except the two of them, his most trusted soldiers and the witch who was only getting to know about it.

There was no way the witch could mind link with others as Drakon had been watching her every move like a hawk, and if she had positioned someone to follow them, Drakon would have sensed them with his otherworldly sound hearing.
