Shirley patted his back gently in reassurance. "It's okay."
"It's not okay," Draco said and pulled away gently. "Haven't you been listening to what I have been saying? I'm cursed, Shirley. Cursed to live a life with no offspring, I am the last of my father's bloodline, and I'm going to die with it."
Shirley held his face in her hands. "That is not going to happen, do you hear me? We are going to have babies and have a happy family. No stupid curse is going to ruin that for us."
Drakon shook his head. "But the curse.."
"Isn't going to do shit to me," Shirley said. "I need you to trust me on this. Most of these curses are mind games, feeding on your guilt. The moment you stop believing in them, they'd never stand a chance near you."
Drako's eyes clouded in uncertainty. "Are you sure?"
Shirley nodded her head. "I'm sure."
