"Talia," he said after the third day. "You need to let go," he said, trying to take her hand away from the infant's body.
"No," she shook her head.
"Let go, Talia," he said. "It's been long enough. His death hurts me too, but you have to let him go," Baron said, his stern voice able to take the body away from her. Talia didn't fight. He knew she wouldn't. She hadn't eaten in days. His aunt told him just before he left the pack hold for the castle.
"She still holds his body. She hasn't eaten; she hasn't bathed. Please do something," Crusader begged him.
He stormed from his office, cursing himself.
"Why are you so angry?" Gabriel asked as he followed.
"Don't follow me," he barked at Gabriel. "Talia. I have been away from her for so long I feel guilty," he said as he reached his car. "Keep the Elders for me, Gabriel. This is important."
