"Two days," Ariel held up two fingers. "She stays for two days. Non-negotiable. Two days she rests. She catches up her mind and her body. She meditates in this beautiful nature." Ariel gestured around the clearing.
I was beginning to wonder just how and why I was there. I had insisted that Baron and I say goodbye to her, only for her, of course, to turn around and jab me in the back. She didn’t seem like she was gloating, but she was the kind of person who liked to hold on to victory, no matter how bitter.
So, I stayed for three days instead of two. Somehow, Ariel had managed to coax me into staying for one extra day. Baron came alone on the train by himself.
"I couldn’t wait," was all he said. "Baylor convinced me. He said to come."
But of course, Baron couldn’t spend too much time with me. "She needs to rest," was all Ariel said every single time he wanted to sleep with me. And by sleep, I mean actually sleeping in the same bed.
