The next day passed in a blur of trees and shadows as we continued our journey. Baron’s pace was relentless, and I struggled to keep up, my legs aching with every step. He seemed unaffected by the exhaustion that weighed me down, his strength and determination unwavering.
"How much further?" I asked, my voice barely more than a whisper.
"Not much," Baron replied, his gaze fixed ahead. "We should clear the witches Forest very soon. I nodded, too tired to argue. The thought of finally reaching our destination brought a flicker of hope, though I wasn’t sure what to expect once we arrived.
