Avario nodded, his hands beginning to glow with a soft, golden light. “I’ll do what I can.”
“You’re going to push as much of your light magic—the divinity inside you—into the boy. The worst-case scenario is he’ll reject it, or he’ll accept it,” Lucia instructed.
Avario began, pushing his magic into Bailor’s body. But no matter how hard he tried, the boy’s body kept rejecting it.
Where is the Warlock? Lucia asked through Avario’s mind.
“He’s on his way,” Avario replied.
“Well, he better get here faster because this boy is going to die, and it’s not going to be on my watch,” she said with a bit of force, her mind returning to Talia, only to find her still unconscious.
