“I hear we must go,” the witch said to Celine, who began limping around the cottage.
“Go away?” Celine asked, now fully aware and at least healed enough to stand on her own two feet. “Leave? Where are we going? Or was I wrong to think that we actually had a place to go?” Celine asked with confusion.
“Do I pose a masking for your European, I’ll do I?” the witch asked, raising her eyebrows at Celine, causing her to shut her mouth instantly. The witch liked to do that; she enjoyed making Celine feel small. While Celine hadn’t minded at first, she now lived in constant fear of the mad witch. Celine knew exactly who this witch was: Ramona the Terrible, a name used to scare children into silence during the dead of night.
