Over the next few hours, the camp was dismantled and loaded into large trucks that had arrived overnight, and off they went across the narrow bridge of the river crossing on their way home.
By the time they entered the central tribe, Baron was cranky.

"He’s missing someone," Gabriel said with a laugh in his voice, but Baron couldn’t care less. He kept bouncing his feet on the car floor, counting the seconds until he reached the castle, where he could finally pull Talia into his arms and nuzzle her neck.
"Talia!" he yelled as he entered the castle.
Cressida was standing at the end of the hallway, looking at him with a strange expression. "What is it?" she asked, fearing the worst.
